Love

They say the dog is the only species that loves another more than its own. In other words, we love certain humans more than other dogs. Well what do you expect? You guys bred us to be that way. But that's family love. We live with you humans and depend on you for food and shelter. But for passion, it's still other dogs. Now I've been spayed and neutered, so the urges are not the same anymore. But I still think Shorty, the dog across the street, is kind of cute. I know he thinks that way about me. Whenever he sees me, he comes across the street and politely sniffs. But I don't let him get too close. I snap at him if he gets too fresh. That keeps the mystique going.

I have to say something about this Election thing that you humans are so excited about. Mommy and Daddy favor Senator Obama, and I must say that I agree with them. Senator Mc Cain seems like a nice man, but Obama was among the top students in his class at Harvard Law School and was elected to be the president of the Harvard Law Review while Senator Mc Cain was 5th from the bottom in his class at Annapolis. Even a dog like me can see the implications. I can't understand why so many of you humans who claim to be so smart can not. Do you want a smart president or or one who is just OK? Well what do I know? I'm just a dog.
